Zap Cat Racing hits Newquay
15th June 2009
On the weekend of June 13th & 14th Zapcat Racers faced with the might of Mother Nature as the 2009 National Championship headed to the mecca of Zapcat surf racing; Watergate Bay in Newquay.

Not only did they have to contend with the other competitors but they also do battle with the mighty Atlantic swells that Watergate Bay is famous for.
Watergate Bay hosted rounds three and four of the National Championship, these will also count as the first two rounds of the King of Surf contest. A highly coveted title that is often more sought after than the National title.
The surf did not disapoint with 17 races on the Saturday red flaged for boats upside down on the race circuit.
